Coming off a 2014-15 MVP campaign in which he led the Golden State Warriors to their first NBA title in 40 years, Stephen Curry guided the Dubs to 24 consecutive victories to start the 2015-16 season as they rolled to the best regular-season record in NBA history (73-9). The “Baby-Faced Assassin” won his second straight league MVP award – becoming the first to ever do so unanimously – as he led the NBA in scoring (30.1) and  steals (2.1), while adding 6.7 assists and a career-best 5.4 rebounds per contest. Featured here is a killer pair of Steph’s ‘Curry Two’ gamers that have been professionally photo-matched to three stellar games during his back-to-back, unanimous MVP campaign. Here’s how Curry fared in those contests:

1/5 at Lakers – 17 points, 10 assists, 1 rebound, 3 steals (only 26 min. in blowout)
1/8 at Blazers – 26 pts, 9 ast, 12 reb, 1 stl (only 28 min. in blowout)
1/9 at Kings – 38 pts, 11 ast, 6 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk

The Warriors won each game with ease thanks to Steph going a combined 16-33 from 3-point range. The greatest shooter in basketball history – is this even debatable? – made 45.4% of his threes for a league-record 402 on the season, obliterating the record of 286 he set the previous year. Unfortunately for Golden State, winning a record 73 games in the regular season wasn’t enough against LeBron’s Cavs in the Finals.

The second edition of Curry’s signature models from Under Armour were lightweight mids specially equipped to give Curry the stability and flexibility he needed for his fragile ankles, with upper ankle protection as well as unique lower foot and back heel support bars. The Warriors-themed yellow and blue colorways have Curry’s unique “30/SC” logo stamped on the tongues, insoles and outer toes. Large UA logos adorn the outsoles and outer ankles in blue. Smaller UA logos with "SPEEDFORM" appear on the lace-holders. The snazzy insoles have a retro, feel-good pattern. Both outsoles are dated “1/8/16” by hand in blue pen. The interior tagging under the tongue indicates his size 12.5 with “PROD. MO. 08/2015” to denote the manufacturing date. Under each tongue is an interesting, abstract image of seven floating diamonds. All elements including the laces are original.

Steph has added “WSC” [Wardell Stephen Curry] on the right shoe and his favorite bible verse (“Romans 8:28 - I Can do all things…”) on the left shoe around the toe midsole area as he typically does. The experts at Resolution Photomatching used these inscriptions to conclusively match them to the three games noted. The shoes display obvious game wear throughout, most noticeable being the scuff marks on the toes. Steph has autographed both toe areas in slightly smeared 8/10 black marker. Simply a stunning pair of sneakers worn by a future first-ballot Hall of Famer.

Includes letter of provenance from a former Knicks ball boy (not posted online due to his privacy request, but rest assured the original will be included). His collection is well-represented in this auction. LOA from Resolution Photomatching with details on the three matches. Beckett full LOA’s for each autograph.
