Circa 1968-69 Official ABA (George Mikan) basketball in very good to excellent condition. The main panel of the ball includes the American Basketball Association logo with a facsimile George Mikan autograph beneath. The secondary panel reads “OFFICIAL SIZE AND WEIGHT” and “MADE IS U.S.A.” on top of the classic red, white, and blue basketball. Mikan was the initial commissioner of the ABA and lasted only two seasons, resulting in the rarity of these particular ABA basketballs. Mikan introduced modern basketball rules such as the three-point line during his time as the commissioner.
