This nice pairing of the small-format, snapshot photos captures the two Yankee legends early in their legendary careers. Measuring 2-5/8" by 4-5/16" each, the two full-body portraits are attributed to the Yanks' historic 1927 season based on the reverse notations in blue ink. The vintage Velox photo paper stamp on the back means these were developed close to the time they were shot. Condition of Ruth is EX and Gehrig appears EX-MT overall.
