This lot offers a Matt Holliday Autographed St. Louis Cardinals game worn home jersey from 7/30/2010 vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates with excellent signs of game use. The game went into extra innings, with both pitchers, Chris Carpenter and Jeff Karstens, both having excellent games and keeping batters at bay. The Cardinals would finish victorious in a 1-0 win while Holiday finished the game with four at bats and one hit. Holliday had an impressive 2010 MLB campaign with 28 home runs, 103 RBIs, and a trip to the All-Star Game.
The white home jersey features the classic Cardinals logo across the chest which is accompanied by plenty of dirt from Holliday sliding into a base. His number “7” is sewn in on both the front and back of the jersey. The Majestic Authentic Patch can be seen in the lower-left panel of the jersey which denotes it as “Size 50” along with a “Cool Base” tag. Signed in bold, silver permanent marker is Holliday’s signature on the rear “7” of the jersey providing excellent eye appeal. The jersey is accompanied by an MLB Authentication hologram (LH642870) denoting its game use as well as a Beckett Authentication sticker (B54329) for autograph authentication.
