Offered in this lot is a Mike Matheny autographed St. Louis Cardinals Game Worn Road Jersey from the 2000 MLB season. 2000 was a great year for Matheny, earning his first of four Gold Gloves during his campaign. As one of the MLB’s best catchers, Matheny put some use into this “Rawlings Size 48” Official St. Louis Cardinals jersey. The jersey shows wear in the chest and shoulder sections from Matheny’s chest protector but the stitching remains in excellent condition. The Rawlings Authentic inside tagging is inscribed with “Clark” and 22” along with a “48” sizing tag. The autograph was signed in bold, black permanent marker for great eye appeal. “John 3:16” is inscribed along with Matheny’s signature. A beautiful road example from Matheny’s first Gold Glove season for the Cardinals. This lot is accompanied by a Becket COA (Cert. #: T75614) for autograph authentication.
