Offered in this lot is a pair of 1957 Milwaukee Braves World Series felt pennants in near perfect condition along with a pair of rare vintage “Chief Wahoo” hand fans. The red version of the Braves felt pennant is considered one of the rarest 1957 World Series pennants on the market, listed as “very rare” in Mike Enger’s Vintage Pennant Price Guide. Both pennants measure 30” in length. The hand fans would be used to keep cool on a hot summer day while enjoying a game at the ballpark. The 1957 World Series would be the 2nd time the Braves would take home the pennant, the first time since 1914. Milwaukee outlasted the defending World Series Champion New York Yankees in a full seven-game series led by Aaron, Matthews, and Spahn. A unique lot including some highly sought-after collectibles.
