This lot consists of a 1939 “Calvacade of Baseball” Ticket stub and five consecutive editions of the Cooperstown Hall of Fame Game Programs. The 1939 “Calvacade of Baseball” was put on at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown, NY on June 12, 1939, where players and fans celebrated the 100th anniversary since the “birth” of baseball. This ticket would have provided admission into the games during the historical day. The ticket remains in good condition with little to no creasing and tremendous coloring. The consecutive editions of the Cooperstown Hall of Fame Game Programs include 1941-46 and are intact and in good shape. Stats have been taken in several of the programs to add further interest as the first owner of these would have been following along as the game played out. This Hall of Fame game was played between two teams each year in Cooperstown as part of a benefit game agreed upon by Major League team owners.
