This key card from the great 1886 "Brown's Champions" subset is a fantastic example of a very important Hall of Famer in the Goodwin Company's prestigious 19th century Old Judge series. Only ten Charles "Commy" Comiskey Portrait in Striped Cap cards have ever been graded by PSA and this one rates GOOD 2, with just three rated higher.

The 1-1/2" by 2-1/2" classic sepia portrait of the Hall of Fame player/manager with the St. Louis Browns (AA), Chicago Pirates (PL) and Cincinnati Reds (NL) who is best known for his 30-year tenure as owner of the Chicago White Sox (1901-1931), whose stadium honored his name from 1910 to 1990. In 1887, Comiskey stole 117 bases for the Browns, yet that wasn't even the most on his own team! "Little Nic" Nichol swiped 138 bags, which remains the all-time single-season record.

This card has great eye appeal for its grade. There top right corner has a crease is rounded slightly more than the other three. Picture and print on front are super legible and present EX in our opinion. The reverse is the only troubling aspect of the card as it shows some paper loss and a significant stain in the middle. Still, a terrific addition to any 19th century card collection.
