Muhammad Ali signed boxing gloves are not uncommon to find in the market. It was probably one of his favorite things to sign, his autograph popping nicely against the solid red background. This one has the luxury of being displayed in quite the unique set-up. The consignor, a longtime boxing trainer who idolized The GOAT and met him numerous times, compiled a nice collection of Clay/Ali signed items over the years. He got Champ to sign this Everlast glove in person in the early 1990s in 7-8/10 silver paint pen, with an included snapshot photo to prove it!

Over two decades later, our consignor attended the 2015 Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame Induction ceremony. (Ali was one of the non-Nevada inductees, but was not able to attend; it was less than a year before his death.) After the ceremony, he took home this miniature boxing ring being used as the centerpiece at Floyd Mayweather's table, figuring it would be tossed out anyways. The name sponsors of the event ("WBC" and WOBC" among them) are listed on the four corners of the ring, which measures approximately 10x10x10 inches up to the makeshift ropes made out of elastic strings. The mini ring became the perfect display in our guy's living room to prop up the signed glove and a 1976 Mego action figure (collector's item, NM condition) of a robed Ali ready to throw down. Now it's ready for someone else's display case or man cave.

Includes LOA from PSA/DNA (AH04367).
