In the history of boxing, the heavyweights have always captivated us the most. Starting with John Sullivan, Jack Johnson and Jim Jeffries in the sport's earliest days, these were the fighters who held a seemingly mythological presence in the ring. Muhammad Ali's career spanned over two full decades during which he had to face some of the most lethal punchers and skilled boxers in the world within the heavyweight division. Four of them are pictured alongside the GOAT in this notable 1989 Champions Forever movie poster. Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Ken Norton, Larry Holmes and Ali are each decked out in fancy tuxedos with a red, Everlast boxing glove draped over their shoulders. Each fighter signed the massice 27x40-inch poster in bold 10/10 black Sharpie directly over the red gloves to give it striking eye appeal.

The critically acclaimed documentary directed by Dimitri Logothetis was released in September of '89. IMDb gave it 8.1/10 stars and lists, "No other film has the sweeping review of Ali's greatest fights, the legendary fight footage, and the real time relevant comments and conversations with the men who made him The Greatest." The is not one of those cheaper, knock-off movie posters printed in large quantities. This is a scarce original movie poster, credits and all, and from our thorough research it is the only original example to be signed by all five Hall of Fame boxers. (It should be noted that a common, non-original poster, missing credits, sold for $1,680 in 2017.) This rare piece of boxing history is immaculately preserved, laminated and ready for prominent framing and wall display. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
