Immaculate pair of autographed official NFL (Tagliabue) footballs by two of the flashiest and successfull running backs of the late 20th century, Barry Sanders anbd Emmitt Smith. From 1990 - 1998 these two were headliners on Thanksgiving day and captured the attention of America as they cut and tore through opposing defenses while families gathered and turkey's roasted in millions of ovens. Smith and Sanders are relics of the era as they were known for their fast cuts, quick spins and jukes that, in previous eras were unthinkable. Both hall of famers and NFL MVP's had similar trajectory's in terms of stats and awards but Smith would ultimately win the bragging rights having won three super bowls with his Cowboys.
Featured in this lot is a gorgeous pair of footballs, both signed and inscribed in bold 10/10 silver marker. Smith's ball has his autograph and 8 inscriptions just below on one panel. Inscriptions include, "4X NFL Rush Yds Leader," 3X SB Champ," "1990 NFL OFF ROY," "4X NFL Rush TD Leader," "SB XXVIII MVP," "HOF 2010," "1993 NFL MVP," and "8x Pro Bowl." Sanders' ball boasts 7 inscriptions, "1989 ROY," "10X Pro Bowl," "4X NFL Rush Yds Leader," "1997 NFL MVP," " 91 NFL Rush TD Leader," "2X OFF POY" and "HOF 04."
Each ball has JSA COA's affixed and both autographs have been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication Services.
