Presented here is the original 1937 photograph used for DiMaggio's 1937 V300 O-Pee-Chee baseball card. The reverse is stamped with "American League Service Bureau", "Apex Photography Company" and "Joe DiMaggio O.F. New York." The lovely photograph of young Joe in full backswing tracking a ball in flight measures approximately 4-1/2" by 6-3/4" and appears slightly tilted within its white border. There is are some spot stains along the white border but, for the most part, none infringe on the sepia backdrop of what appears to be the stands at Yankee Stadium. It has the expected edge and corner wear of a pre-war photo, with a mostly clean and relatively smooth surface (EX-MT overall). Type I originals of famous Hall of Famers' trading cards are a hot niche in the hobby these days. Here's another to chase after. Encapsulated "Type I Authentic" by PSA/DNA.
