The 1963 Los Angeles Dodgers entered the World Series after an impressive 99-63 regular season record, enough to clinch the National League title over the St. Louis Cardinals by six games. Led by Sandy Koufax, who practically won every award imaginable in ‘63 including National League MVP, World Series MVP, and the Cy Young award, the Los Angeles Dodgers handed the New York Yankees their first playoffs sweep in franchise history. Offered here is a fantastic 1963 Los Angeles Dodgers team signed World Champions ONL (Giles) baseball. Hall of Famers include Sandy Koufax, Walter Alston, Leo Durocher, & Don Drysdale. Other notable signatures include Johnny Podres, Frank Howard, John Roseboro, Bill Skowron, Maury Wills, Ron Fairly, Tommy Davis (Clubhouse), Willie Davis, Wally Moon, Al Ferrara, Pete Richert, and a rare Roy Gleason. Gleason played only eight games for the Dodgers during the ‘63 campaign, which would be the only eight games of his MLB career. Gleason was drafted into the Vietnam War in 1967 and received a purple heart. For these reasons, there are not many balls that include his signature, especially from the 1963 Championship team. This lot includes a previous "auction" LOA from JSA.
