This offered 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia "Participant Final Competition" medal was given to a staff member of the Brazil National Team. The tournament took place from June 14 to July 15, 2018, in Russia. In the final match, France defeated Croatia 4-2. The medal is the same version presented to players participating in the Final Match, with exception of the missing top loop and ribbon. It features a relief image of the 2018 World Cup logo on the obverse with the text "FIFA World Cup - Russia 2018" and "Participant Final Competition" at the top. On the reverse is a relief image of the World Cup trophy and the text "2018 FIFA World Cup Russia" at the top. The medal (diameter 50 mm; weight 60 g) appears to be made of gold-plated silver or bronze. (As a reference point, a similar medal recently sold for $1,280 at auction; only it was not marked "Participant Final Competition"). The medal presents NM-MT/Mint and comes housed in its original black FIFA frame presentation case.
