Jose Marcelo Ferreira Ze Maria was a prolific footballer for the CBF and won a Copa America, FIFA Confederations cup and an Olympic bronze medal during his prolific professional career. The right midfielder also dabbled as a right back for certain tactical match-ups scored 35 times for his clubs and never netted a goal during any of his 25 caps for Brazil. He played a big role on defense while playing the international goal and left most of the scoring to the likes of Ronaldinho.
Featured here is Ze Maria's 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games Brazil National Team Award presented by the Olympic committee and more specifically, Carlos Nuzman, president of Brazilian Olympic Committee. The 13" x 8 1/2" wood plaque features a giant gold colored plate that features a stamped Brazilian flag with the olympic rings just below. The plaque reads, "Ao Atleta JOSE MARCELO FERREIRA o reconhecimento do Comite Olimpico Braslelro por sua brilhante trajetoria esportiva e expressiva particippacao no XXVI Jogos Olimpicos de Verao - Atlanta 1996 FUTEBOL." The bottom left is, "Rio de Janeiro, 15 de decembro de 2003." A facsimile autograph is on the bottom right by the Brazilian Olympic Committee president, Carlos Arthur Nuzman. The plaque presents in EX - NM condition. Comes with 14 3/4" x 10 3/4" original presentation case. Includes LOA from Brazil National Team (CBF) Coordinator.
