Offered here is a full unused ticket, graded PSA VG-EX 4, to Game 1 of the 1950 World Series between the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies played at Shibe Park on October 4, 1950. It presents crease-free with solid coloring and much stronger eye appeal that your typical VG-EX. The Yanks shutout the Phils, 1-0, behind a complete game gem from Vic Raschi. The only run came in the 4th inning when Bobby Brown hit a leadoff double and scored on two flyouts. The Yankees would go on to sweep the Philly "Whiz Kids" and win their second of five straight World Championships -- an incredible streak that has yet to be matched in the long history of our National Pastime. Only 17 full tickets from the entire 4-game series have been encapsulated by PSA, with only five higher than this fine example.
