Full unused ticket from the 1943 World Series, Game 2 at Yankees Stadium. Graded VG-EX 4 by PSA, this is the highest rated example (pop 2) and one of three ever encapsulated. Clean front and back with strong green background and clear red and black print. Corners are slightly rounded and edges are naturally perforated on the top and bottom. The 1943 World Series was a rematch of the '42 Fall Classic between the New York Yankees and defending champion St. Louis Cardinals. Although the Cards took Game 2 in a close 4-3 contest, the Yankees would ultimately get their revenge and win the series in five thanks in large part to the pitching of Spud Chandler. Only five full tickets from the entire 5-game series have ever been encapsulated by PSA, and only two of those besides this one have received a number grade.
