He was a nine-time All-Star and the 1971 National League Most Valuable Player, and Gold Glove winner who totaled 2,342 hits in 18 big league seasons. After all of these accolades as a player, Joe Torre was just getting warmed up. Because in 29 seasons as a manager, Torre became one of only five skippers to win at least four World Series titles.

The bat on offer here dates from the twilight of his eighteen-year career which he closed out with the N.Y. Mets. This Adirondack Big Stick is a model 129A measuring 35" in length and weighing 34.9 ounces. Torre's number in vintage black marker ("9") on the no-knob style end. The bat is uncracked and shows evidence of outstanding use. Many ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the bat.

This bat has been signed in blue sharpie pen and has been assigned the PSA/DNA grade of a GU 10. There are no better grades available making this bat one of the finest on the planet! This lot is accompanied by an LOA from PSA (Certification #: 1B03196)
