Deadball era Hall of Fame pitcher Charles "Kid" Nichols' penned this interesting response letter (7.5x9") to an admiring fan on Nichols' personal stationery. Dated May 20th, 1949, its content is highlighted by this line about his years with the Boston Beaneaters in the 1890’s: "I also want to thank you for the comments on the Boston teams of the gay nineties. I haven’t seen any better.” All of the writing is quite bold culminating with a 9/10 signature. Includes a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AD07592) (Auto. Grade: 8) and Beckett Authentication.
