RED HOLZMAN'S 1957 NBA OLD TIMERS ALL-STARS 10K GOLD BENRUS WATCH AND TIE CLASP ENGRAVED "RED" (HOLZMAN COLLECTION)

Presented here is a lovely Benrus 10-karat gold watch (EX-MT) presented to legendary coach Red Holzman in 1957. The back of the watch is engraved, "BENRUS 10K RGP BACK" and "N.B.A. OLDTIMERS ALL STARS 1957." The face features gold hands and hour notches with a smaller seconds hand against a snow white background. It is not currently in working order (an easy fix we presume) and the brown leather band is not the original. Holzman's head coaching tenure with the St. Louis Hawks came to an end in '57 and he would work as a scout and assistant for the Knicks before taking over as New York's head coach in '68 and leading them to championship glory in the '70s. This lot also comes with an Anson 12-karat gold-filled tie clasp (NM-MT) with an elevated engraved "RED" on the front end of the clasp. Both pieces come directly from the late Red Holzman's personal collection with an LOA from his family.
