Offered here is a very nice Roberto Clemente singled signed baseball dating to his second-to-last season with the Pittsburgh Pirates, or on earth for that matter. The Puerto Rican legend has neatly penned "To 'J.T.' Best Wishes Roberto Clemente" on the sweet spot in 7-8/10 green ink. The well-soiled Spalding "Official Little League" (regulation size) baseball is dated "June 23, 1971" in blue ballpoint by an unknown hand (according to JSA) on the south panel, but it looks as though Clemente tried to correct the month by adding "Aug" in green. There is a faint green pen stroke on the west panel, but JSA has identified the ball as a single. (Perhaps Clemente was just trying to test the ink.) Includes full LOA from JSA.
