ADDENDUM: Bat grade listed in catalog is inaccurate. GU 8.5 is correct.

The late, great Tony Gwynn was arguably the best pure hitter in baseball history. With eight National League batting titles to his credit and a career .338 average, Gwynn was an easy first-ballot Hall of Fame inductee into Cooperstown in 2007. In 20 different MLB seasons, he never struck out more than 40 times in any one campaign. He was also a perennial All-Star Game selection and started in 15 Mid-Summer Classics. Featured here is one of the bats "Mr. Padre" swung early in his career as he was making a name for himself.

The Louisville Slugger Tony Gwynn professional model B267 bat exhibits evidence of excellent use with a crack in the center brand. Several ball marks are visible on all sides of the barrel. Ball marks include black ink transfers. There is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. Gwynn's player number (19) is written on the knob and top of the barrel in black marker. Gwynn has signed the upper barrel in bold black marker. Comes from an esteemed Padre and Gwynn collector. Includes LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA with a GU 8.5 grade (1B17874). Full LOA from PSA/DNA for autograph (AG01608).
