This extremely rare and visually powerful poster was once displayed in-house at the Las Vegas Hilton in the weeks leading up to the fight that made Mike Tyson a household name. After unsuccessfully trying to make the ’84 Olympic boxing team, Mike Tyson turned pro and quickly ascended the Heavyweight ranks. After just two short years that were filled with devastating KO’s that earned him the nickname “Iron Mike, Tyson got his big chance with a title fight against Trevor Berbick, the Jamaican champ best known for defeating Muhammad Ali in the GOAT’s last career bout. With millions of boxing fans tuning in across the globe, Tyson surpassed any expectations by dethroning Berbick with a TKO in the second round. Just 20 years old, Mike Tyson had arrived. He would sit on the Heavyweight throne for nearly four years, delivering one punishing knockout after another and often winning fights by sheer intimidation before his opponents even stepped into the ring.

This impressive on-site fight poster – removed from the lobby of the Las Vegas Hilton – features a raised fist, once a symbol of the 1960s Black Power Movement that would become associated with the world’s youngest heavyweight champ two decades later. Making this offering even more significant is Tyson’s large autograph in 6-7/10 black marker. This is the first example we have represented and, from our research, just the second one ever offered publicly. Includes full LOA from PSA/DNA (AG01602).

RARE NOV. 22, 1986 TYSON VS. BERBICK ON-SITE FIGHT POSTER ("THE FIST") SIGNED BY IRON MIKE - BECAME YOUNGEST HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!
