This ball was a perfectly executed Mickey Mantle single before a bold collector decided to take away that "single" label. As it turns out, he may be on to something, choosing the only player from today's game who could possibly enhance its value. Mike Trout is The Mick reincarnated on the baseball field, both with his flair for making the highlight-reel catch and his ability to go deep seemingly at will. The New Jersey native would look good in pinstripes as well, but it looks as though that may never happen so Yankee fans just have to wonder what might have been. One day, Trout will join Mantle within the hallowed grounds of Cooperstown.
The OAL (Brown) ball is nearly mint with a snow white glow, making Mantle's strong sweet spot signature in 8/10 blue ballpoint look even better.
