Presented is an unlined 3" x 5" index card that’s been signed and inscribed by Hall of Famer Norman "Turkey" Stearnes. Stearnes (1901-1979) is one of those Hall members who was inducted long after his death, and whose autograph appears on almost all HOF collectors' wantlists. "Turkey," so nicknamed for his unorthodox left-handed batting stance, played for six black teams between 1923 and 1942, reportedly hitting over .400 in three seasons. On the offered card, Stearnes has signed “Turkey Stearnes Centerfielder of Detroit Stars Detroit Mich.." Encapsulated and assessed MINT 9 by PSA DNA. A very rare Hall of Fame autograph!
