During his 10-year playing career, Mike McNally won five pennants as a teammate of Babe Ruth’s in Boston and New York (six overall) and was a member of the Yankees first world championship squad in 1923. "Minooka Mike" maintained a lifelong friendship with Ruth. The Babe himself famously recalled that McNally had for years carried around a fading box score to prove that the infielder had once pinch hit for him back in Boston. When he showed it once too often in New York, Ruth told him, 'Mike, if you show that box score to anyone again I’ll make you eat it.'" Offered here is a rare single-signed baseball, featuring Mike McNally. Signed on the sweet spot in 7/10 ink, the OAL (Harridge) ball exhibits moderate toning throughout and is shellacked over the signed sweet spot area. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
