Bill Buckner, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 69, played 22 seasons in the majors, was an All-Star once and won a batting title in 1980. But it was a ball that went through his legs at Shea Stadium on a cool Oct. 25 night in 1986 that made for one of baseball's most shocking moments and long-overshadow an otherwise stellar career.  The offered ONL (Feeney) ball commemorates a sunnier aspect of Buckner’s career. In addition to his period sweet spot signature, notations on the north and south panels read, “Bill Buckner Chicago Cubs 1980” and “1980 National League Batting Champion .324” respectively. All writing is jet black rating 10/10. Ball has scattered toning. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
