This lot features an Andy Pettitte autographed New York Yankees game-used cap that dates to his rookie season of 1995. It is coupled with a Pettitte single-signed ball honoring his last win as a Yankee on Sept. 21, 2008. Over the course of his projected Hall of Fame career, the southpaw starter won 219 of his 256 total games as a Yankee. The size 7-1/4 New Era cap (with tagging that dates it to 1994-96) is signed on the outer bill in thick 8/10 silver marker. The cap show heavy sweating and soiling from game use, and there is a 1/2" rip on the bill across the 'P' of his last name. The underside of the bill contains Pettitte’s number “46” in black Sharpie. The consignor of the Pinstripe Dynasty Collection attests to acquiring this cap through a Yankees staff member years ago. The accompanying ball -- specially stamped "Final W in Yankee Stadium" in gold -- has a clean Pettitte autograph on the sweet spot in 9/10 blue ballpoint. Both autographs have been pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
