Outfielder Paul O'Neill was a hard-nosed ballplayer and fan favorite for the Yankees during their championship dynasty of the late 1990's. A true model of consistency, the left-handed hitter batted over .300 six times and had between 18 and 24 homers every year he donned the iconic pinstripes from 1993-2001. He won the AL Batting Title in 1994 with a .359 average. This offered Louisville Slugger C243 professional model bat (35", 35 oz.) was swung by O'Neill circa 1993-97. It exhibits evidence of outstanding use with a handle crack that has been repaired. Numerous ball marks are visible on the right barrel, some with blue ink transfers. Cleat marks can be seen on all sides of the barrel. The handle has been taped approximately 16" in a criss-cross pattern and there is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. O'Neill's player number (21) is written on the knob and top of the barrel in black marker. Includes LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA graded GU 9 (1B17060).
