Among the game's most prolific hitters during the 1980's, Don Mattingly was named AL MVP in 1985 and hit for both average and power throughout his injury-shortened career in the Bronx. In 1987, "Donnie Baseball" batted .327 with 30 home runs and 115 RBI’s to make the All-Star game for the 4th straight season. Presented here is Mattingly’s 1987 game worn Yankees road jersey. The requisite “Mattingly 87 2” embroidered tag in present in the collar. The gray knit jersey has “NEW YORK” across the chest and Mattingly’s “23” on the back in navy blue tackle twill. The size 42 Wilson jersey appears to have no alterations and has light to moderate evidence of game use. Includes LOA from MEARS with perfect A10 grade.
