No man in baseball has been part of as many World Championships as Frank Crosetti, a baseball lifer who spent his entire 35-years with the New York Yankees. First, as a player, Crosetti was the solid shortstop on eight Bronx Bomber teams that won the World Series. Then, as a coach, he collected another nine World Championship rings. Presented here is Crosetti’s game worn road jersey dating to the 1946 and '47 seasons as his 17-year playing career was winding down.

In the neck of the thick flannel jersey is the Wilson label with the size "44" flag tag. Below is a gray felt patch with “Crosetti” in blue chain stitching. Across the front of the jersey is “New York” and on the back is the player number "2." Both the name and number are made of blue felt. According to SGC, the tagging, letters and number are all-original to the shirt with no alterations. The only restoration done is a replaced button (fifth from the top). The jersey shows "light to moderate use and wear" and the fabric has held up exceptionally well for being almost 70 years old. An exquisite gamer from a well-respected Yankee worn at the turn of the post-war era when the Yanks began another dynasty that brought six titles in seven seasons.

SGC uniform authenticator Dave Grob has assessed the jersey an overall grade of Excellent (E), which is the second highest rating achievable on their 6-point scale. A copy of Grob's detailed analysis is included. LOA from SGC/Dave Grob (E).
