The 1957 New York Yankees won the franchise's 23rd pennant, finishing with a record of 98 wins and 56 losses. Casey Stengel's boys were then defeated by the Milwaukee Braves in the World Series in seven hard-fought games. This well-preserved team ball features 24 autographs highlighted by the Hall of Fame duo of Yogi Berra and Mickey Mantle on the sweet spot each in 6-7/10 blue ink. Other notables include fellow HOFers Enos Slaughter and Whitey Ford, as well as Don Larsen, Sal Maglie, Elston Howard, Al Cicotte, Charlie Keller, Bobby Richardson, Jerry Coleman, Tommy Byrne, Bob Turley, Joe Collins, Hank Bauer, Tony Kubek, Andy Carey, Art Ditmar, D. Johnson, Johnny Kucks, Jerry Lumpe, Gil McDougald and Tom Sturdivant. The ONL (Giles) ball is in outstanding condition for its age (NM-MT) and is a great candidate for grading. The blue penned signatures average a solid 7/10 in our book. Casey Stengel has been deemed clubhouse. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (AG02541).
