The 1954 New York Yankees won 103 games, but it was not enough for the AL pennant as the Cleveland Indians broke the regular season wins record with 111. This well-preserved team ball boasts 29 authentic signatures, highlighted by a nice combo of Phil Rizzuto (HOF) and Allie Reynolds on the sweet spot. The true gem of this ball is not one, but two early Mickey Mantle autographs, coming on separate panels in equaling impressive 7/10 boldness. Fellow HOFers Yogi Berra, Enos Slaughter and Whitey Ford are present as well as Jerry Coleman, Ed Lopat, Ralph Houk, Bobby Brown, Joe Collins, Moose Skowron, Hank Bauer, Johnny Sain, Charlie Silvera, Grim, Gorman, Woodling, Kuzava, H. Byrd, Carey, Leja, McDonald, McDougald, Miranda, Morgan, Noren and Robinson. There are no clubhouse signatures on the OAL (Harridge) ball, which has little toning and remains in EX-MT overall shape. Signatures average a solid 7-8/10 in blue ink. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (AG07306).
