Offered here is a vintage, circa 1920's - 30's Philadelphia Athletics pair of cufflinks. In 1928, A's legendary owner and manager, Connie Mack, assembled one of the finest baseball teams ever with seven Hall of Famers including Ty Cobb, Tris Speaker, Eddie Collins, Jimmie Foxx, Lefty Grove, Mickey Cochrane and Al Simmons. The storied Philadelphia Athletics franchise then won three straight AL pennants (1929-31) and back-to-back World Series (1929 & '30) during time when the Yankees fielded a pretty darm good squad themselves with guys named Ruth and Gehrig. The famous "A" logo is raised in the middle of each circular cufflink. The precious metal composition is not 10-karat gold, but perhaps gold-filled. These classy looking cufflinks were presented to members of the organization most likely during the late 1920's or early 30's as a token of appreciation for the team's successful run during that stretch. They remain in EX-MT condition.
