Presented here is a gorgeous 10-karat gold New York Giants pendant that was issued to the wives of players and front office members following their memorable Super Bowl XXI victory, the franchise's first title in the Super Bowl era. Down 10-9 to the Denver Broncos at halftime, the G-Men erupted for 30 second-half points behind the uber efficiency of QB Phil Simms who was named MVP after going 22-for-25 passing with 268 yards and three TD's. His 88% completion percentage set a Super Bowl and postseason record. Of course Lawrence Taylor terrorizing John Elway on defense certainly didn't hurt the cause either.
This particular pendant was issued to the wife of team trainer John Dziegiel. The Lombardi Trophy depicted on the face is comprised of 15 genuine diamonds set on top of a blue sapphire stone, with "GIANTS 1986" and "WORLD CHAMPIONS" noted around the perimeter. The reverse is stamped "JOANN DZIEGIEL 1-25-87" and "LGB 10K". The lovely piece of jewelry is equipped with an elegant gold loop for necklace wear. Overall it weighs 18 grams and is very well-preserved in NM-MT condition. An important and extremely scarce championship memento from one of football's most popular franchises.
