The 1931 Washington Senators, headed by Manager and now-Hall of Famer Walter Johnson, finished the season with a record of 92-62, third in the American League. This unused ONL (Hulbert) ball has been signed by 20 members of that team. Includes: Heinie Manush (HOF), Fred Marberry and Walter Johnson (all on sweet spot), Ed Gharrity, Buddy Myer, Joe Kubel, Al Schacht, Sam West, Gen. Crowder, Dave Harris, Joe Cronin (HOF), Harry Rice, Roy Spencer, Red Hargrave, Bump Hadley, Nick Altrock, Sam Rice (HOF), Lloyd Brown, Ossie Bluege and one other. The ball is heavily shellacked with some light chips. Black fountain pen signatures remain mostly bold and well-preserved, averaging 6-8/10 with The Big Train the boldest. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
