The 2010 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics was a fight to the bitter seven-game end. NBA fans waxed nostalgic as this legendary matchup unfolded. The Lakers were seeking back-to-back glory while also looking for revenge from their defeat to the Celtics only two years prior. Game 7 was a nail-biter as LA's offense struggled most of the game. Boston looked poised to win it all, but Ron Artest came alive for the Lakers and sunk a 3-pointer with one minute left that ultimately sunk the Celtics. The Lakers secured their 16th NBA title and fifth in the last 11 years.

This gorgeous 16-karat ring made by Jason of Beverly Hills and chock full of detail is arguably the most elaborate of all Lakers championship rings. Issued to a close personal friend of the Lakers GM, Mitch Kupchak, it is crafted to the exact specifications of the player versions issued to Kobe, Fisher, Gasol, etc. A total of 150 diamonds monopolize the face and perimeter. The Lakers team name logo is raised in gold accompanied by two Larry O’Brien NBA trophies signifying the team’s back-to-back 2009 and 2010 titles. Sixteen more diamonds surround the remaining perimeter of the rings bezel in recognition of the franchise’s 16 NBA titles. The left shank contains “2010” embossed in black with scores of each post-season series and the final score of Game 7 along with the season record “57-25” below. The right shank contains “2009” embossed in black above the recipient's name “RENDELMAN” that sits atop the signatures of the '09-10 Lakers team with “Sweet Sixteen” engraved in black and gold at the bottom. Stamped inside the band is "JBH-M195". The ring comes in size 10 and presents in outstanding condition. The original black presentation box is included with a specially engraved gold plaque on the front reading “2010 NBA WORLD CHAMPIONS LOS ANGELES LAKERS CHUCK RENDELMAN”.

The consignor has generously agreed to donate all auction proceeds to Positive Recovery Services, an alcohol and drug treatment center in Germantown, MD (http://www.positiverecoveryservices.com).
