The Babe Ruth Story was written by Ruth while he was battling cancer. As many who are facing death do, Ruth decided to reflect on his life. What transpired through that reflection was this amazing biography that was published just before his passing in 1948. The Babe Ruth Story was ghostwritten by Bob Considine but technically Fred Lieb of the New York Telegram was the true ghostwriter. There are forty-nine photographs sprinkled throughout the book. Ruths autograph comes in blue fountain pen ink on the half-title page. The signature is boldly rendered 9/10, the original dust jacket is in VG condition and the book itself is EX-MT with a note that the signed page is almost completely loosened from the binding. Comes with full LOA from PSA/DNA.
