It started with a frugal display at a blackjack table in 2011. According to a Golf Digest article quoting a story from the Miami News Times, Tiger Woods allegedly pocketed a $5 tip meant for a waitress while playing a $10,000 hand upon realizing he had already tipped her. And from there Tiger was viewed as another bad tipping celebrity. The gossipy, social media driven era is mostly to blame for such hearsay reporting, and this lot seems to refute this rather unfair label. In 2003 while dining at the popular Bonefish Grill in Orlando, FL, Woods left a $30 tip on a $122 tab, a 25% gratuity that is decent by most standards, billionaire or not. He signed the bill in the same 9-10/10 black pen. The receipt is nicely matted and framed with his famous Masters fist pump 8x10 photo. 2019 Masters Champ is back on top of the golf world.
