There is no athlete more revered in the Big Easy than Drew Brees. And by the time he hangs ‘em up, there won’t be another quarterback with a better career stat line than the undersized prodigy out of Purdue either. Having recently overtaken Peyton Manning for most career passing yards and Brett Favre for most career completions, the soon-to-be 40-year-old is well on his way to owning the NFL record for career passing touchdowns as well. (As of writing this, he just surpassed Favre for second all-time.)

Featured here is Drew’s 2017 Saints jersey photo-matched to a 30-10 beat-down of the Tampa Bay Bucs on November 5th at the Superdome. He went 22 for 27 passing with 263 yards and a pair of touchdowns. New Orleans went on to win the NFC South with an 11-5 record. If not for the “Minneapolis Miracle” in the NFC Divisional playoff round, Brees might be sporting a second Super Bowl ring. Brees is currently the front-runner for league MVP this season. With his Saints holding the best record in the NFL, he looks determined to take “Who Dat Nation” further this winter and bring New Orleans another championship.

The black Nike jersey procured from the NFL and PSA/DNA authentication program comes unwashed and reeks of perspiration from Drew’s terrific performance. The frayed stitching on the right shoulder and a paint transfer near the back number make for an easy photo-match. His iconic No. "9" appears on the front, back and shoulders. The back has "BREES across a black nameplate. All numbers and letters come in gold-on-white tackle twill. On the right upper chest is his gold and camouflaged captain's "C" patch with four gold stars. Each sleeve has the Saints fleur-de-lis patch with a custom elastic hem, just like the shirttail. Appropriate tagging behind the collar shows “2017” and size 46 with the NFL & PSA/DNA sticker affixed. The 88% nylon/12% spandex gamer displays solid wear with evident stretching, paint transfers and other contact marks. This well-worn gamer is certainly of the finer examples from the future Hall of Famer to surface in the hobby.

Includes COA (2N43188) from the NFL and PSA/DNA as well as LOA from Resolution Photomatching with conclusive photo-match.
