If you are going to retire, you might as well go out on top. Only two quarterbacks have ever walked away from the game after winning the Super Bowl, and both wore the blue and orange for the Mile High City. After John Elway went back-to-back in the late 90's to out the finishing touches on his Hall of Fame career, Peyton Manning got his second ring following the 2015 season. His numbers were a far cry from the video game stats he put up two years for the Broncos, relying a lot on the NFL's top defense. But all folks will remember is Peyton hoisting the Lombardi trophy. Presented here is Manning's game used Broncos helmet from that swan song championship season, verified by Fanatics Authentic and Manning himself as the one. The exact day was Oct. 4, 2015, as Denver hosted the Minnesota Vikings and won a nail-biter, 23-20. Peyton went 17 for 27 with 213 yards and a touchdown. The shiny Riddell helmet has all the proper decals on the shell, with his number "18" and USA flag stickers affixed on the rear above the team logoed neck pad. An additional Super Bowl 50 sticker was added at the end of the season. The green NFL sticker on the upper back is another symbol of a game helmet. The size Large helmet has a modernized "SPEEDFLEX" cushioning system in the interior. An "Initial Season 2015" sticker is affixed inside the right ear hole. The original face mask and chinstrap are present, the latter of which has a custom chin pad that Peyton used for comfort. On the outer shell, which shows light overall use, Manning has signed in 9/10 silver marker with "Super Bowl 50 Champs" inscribed. This helmet is simply a perfect example of what a modern gamer is supposed to look and feel like. And considering how rare this piece of equipment finds its way out of team facilities, this is a tremendous opportunity for collectors.
