This lot includes a pair of 1968 Super Bowl II White Variation and 1969 Super Bowl Blue Variation ticket stubs each graded PSA VG 3.

Super Bowl II between the NFL Champion Green Bay Packers and AFL Champion Oakland Raiders was played at the Orange Bowl in Miami on January 14, 1968. The defending World Champion Packers posted a 9-4-1 record during the 1967 NFL regular season and dominated the Los Angeles Rams in the 1st round of the playoffs. In the 1967 NFL Championship game, they defeated the Dallas Cowboys 21-17 on the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field, a game in football lore known as the "Ice Bowl." The Oakland Raiders finished the '67 season with a 13-1 record and crushed the Houston Oilers, 40-7, in the 1967 AFL Championship. In Super Bowl II, the Packers continued their dominance of AFL opponents with a decisive 33-14 triumph. Bart Starr was named the game's MVP with Coach Vince Lombardi collecting his ninth consecutive playoff victory. It marked the end of the Lombardi era in Green Bay as the legend moved on after the season to coach the Washington Redskins.

The 3rd Super Bowl between the NFL Champion Baltimore Colts and the AFL Champion New York Jets on January 12, 1969 was also played at the Orange Bowl. A young, brash Joe Namath predicted victory, then walked the walk by leading his Jets to a stunning 16-7 defeat over the heavily favored Colts and earning game MVP honors. It was the AFL's first ever World Championship.

Both stubs are mostly clean, front and back, with strong colors and relatively square corners. The SBII white stub is one of only three on PSA's population report, with only 4 rated higher (the top being EX 5). A great pairing of two of the more coveted tickets in the hobby.
