Addendum: Jersey year updated from catalog.

Larry Bird led the Boston Celtics to three NBA titles during the course of his 13-year Hall of Fame career. This lot features one of Larry Legend’s 1991-92 game worn Boston Celtics home jerseys from his final NBA season. At 35 years old with an ailing back, Bird was a shell of his former self, yet he still averaged over 20 points per game and made the All-Star team.

The white mesh jersey reads “CELTICS” across the front in green tackle twill with Bird’s uniform number “33” appearing just below it in similar fashion. On the front left tail is a “Champion” size “46” manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions, with a separate, adjacent “Champion” tag reading “YEAR 1991,” “ID#” and “BODY LENGTH +3.” On the front left chest is the NBA’s official, red, white and blue embroidered logo. His last name – “BIRD” – appears on the back in green tackle twill sewn directly onto the shirt. The jersey is properly tagged and shows light but appropriate wear. A wonderful example from Bird's swan song season precluded his participation with the fabled "Dream Team" at the '92 Olympics in Barcelona.
