Jack Marin was named to the 1967 NBA All-Rookie Team and spent 11 seasons in the NBA (1966-1977), playing for four teams: the Baltimore Bullets, Houston Rockets, Buffalo Braves and Chicago Bulls. Marin was a two-time All-Star and scored 12,541 points in his career. He is perhaps best remembered for being traded to the Houston Rockets (along with future considerations) for Elvin Hayes.
This lot offers Marin’s Houston Rockets game worn home jersey from the 1972 to ’74 seasons. The front of the jersey reads "Rockets" in red tackle twill outlined in yellow with his uniform number “24 appearing just below it in like fashion. The front left tail is sporting the proper “Rawlings” manufacturer’s [size “42”] tag, which is accompanied by a severely frayed white flag tag that includes no writing or embroidery of any sort. Across the back is his last name – “MARIN" – in red tackle twill outlined in yellow as is his uniform number “24.” The jersey exhibits game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
