On April 12, 2017, Giancarlo Stanton embarked on a historic season in which he slugged a Ruthian 59 home runs – and this jersey started it all. In fact, Stanton not only hit the first of his 59 wearing this shirt, but his second as well. Photo-Matching & Grading (PM&G) has definitively photo-matched this jersey to photos taken of Stanton during his 2-HR game on April 12th at Marlins Park against Atlanta. Stanton hit a pair of 2-run shots off Braves starter Jaime Garcia, one in the bottom of the 2nd and another in the home half of the 5th. He provided all of Miami's offense that night as the Marlins lost, 5-4.

Stanton’s Marlins white home [run] jersey has “MIAMI” across the chest in blue, white, black, orange and yellow tackle twill, with the Marlins logo patch on the left sleeve and the 2017 All-Star Game patch on the right. The back has “STANTON” across the shoulders and his number “27” below in black and orange tackle twill. The shirt displays light wear and is properly tagged in the left front tail with a Size 46 Majestic label, along with a certifiable team bar code tag inside the right tail. PM&G was able to match the imperfections of the “7” of this jersey with a photo of Stanton taken after hitting his second homer of the game. A visually attractive gamer with solid provenance to the initial home runs of Stanton’s historic 2017 season.

MLB Auth. #JB624842. Letter from PM&G with details about the photo-match.
