All-time MLB home run leader Barry Bonds began his big league career as a member of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The left fielder played seven seasons in the Steel City before making his move to San Francisco. During his tenure with the Pirates, he was twice named the National League’s MVP (1990 and ’92) before adding five more to his arsenal in the City by the Bay. This lot features one of Barry's game worn Pirates caps from the late ‘80s to early ‘90s.

On the inner band of the black cap is the “New Era” Major League Pro Model manufacturers tag. Adjacent to that is the size 7-1/4 tag. Under the brim is his uniform number 24 written in black marker, which also appears on one of the inner panels of the dome. On the front is the Pirates “P” logo embroidered in yellow stitch. The cap shows excellent game-use with heavy sweat and dirt staining inside, and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Bonds has signed the underside of the brim in fine point black marker.

Autograph pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
