This 'Babe Ruth Home Run Special' baseball has been autographed by 19 members of the 1933 New
York Yankees, one of the few Bronx Bomber squads from that era that did not win the American League pennant. That honor went to the Washington Senators, who fell to the N.Y. Giants in the World Series. Six Hall of Famers are present including Ruth (7-8/10) on the sweet spot, Lou Gehrig (6/10), Tony Lazzeri, Red Ruffing, Herb Pennock and Joe Sewell. The others are John Allen, Johnny Broaca, Walter Brown, Sam Byrd, Ben Chapman,
Frank Crosetti, Eddie Farrell, Arndt Jorgens, Dan MacFayden,
Wilcy Moore, Dixie Walker, Russ Van Atta and Lyn Lary. Most of the black fountain pen
signatures, unless noted, fall in the 5-7/10 range. The evenly toned, cream-colored ball is very lightly Shellacked which has protected the signatures quite well. A simply fantastic Yankees team ball with Ruth and Gehrig and absolutely zero Clubhouse signatures!
