The 1999 Marlboro 500 presented by Toyota was held on October 31, 1999 at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. Michael Andretti finished 6th overall, but was overshadowed by fellow NASCAR driver Greg Moore losing his life in a fatal crash during the early stages of the race.
This lot is for Andretti’s personal worn race gloves used while he was driving for Newman/Hass racing, which he has autographed in black sharpie across the front of the left hand glove. Custom frame (29” X 15”) includes two display boxes set within the frame with one box having the LOA that reads “I, Michael Andretti's, hereby certify that you have purchased a pair of race work gloves, which I wore in the 1999 Fontanta Marlboro 500 while driving for Newman/Hass racing” signed in black ink. The other display box displays both racing gloves with the left hand glove signed on the front. Comes with Andretti LOA. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
