In addition to being one the greatest and most popular golfers of all-time, Robert Trent “Bobby” Jones designed or re-designed more than 500 golf courses in 45 U.S. states and 35 countries and was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2000. Jones is the most valuable card in the 1927 W.A. & A.C. Churchman “Famous Golfers” small series, with this NM-MT example being graded a PSA 8. With the inscription “Series of 50” on the reverse, the small variety of “Famous Golfers” cards compliment the rarer 12-card larger version of the same year. With bright off-white and crisp color this example is only 1 of 23 graded a NM-MT 8 by PSA, with only 3 higher. The corners are sharp and the front and back are problem free. This is one of the most highly sought after golf cards of the pre-war era and not to be missed.
