If you want an iconic boxing piece that will light up any room, look no further. A rare massive and colorful advertising poster of the famous 1974 "Rumble in the Jungle" World Heavyweight Championship fight in Zaire, Africa between George Foreman and Muhammad Ali, signed by Ali. It was the first heavyweight championship bout ever fought in Africa. Both fighters were former Olympic Gold Medal winners. The heavily-favored Foreman came in as the undefeated and undisputed champion, but he was no match in mind and body to the challenger. Using his patented "Rope-A-Dope" strategy, Muhammad Ali knocked out Foreman in the 8th round to take his title. The historic triumph earned Ali many 1974 awards including "Fighter of the Year" by Ring Magazine and "Sportsman of the Year" by Sports Illustrated.

The over-sized closed circuit advertising poster measures approximately 39" by 47" and is protected under Plexiglas in a quality black frame with final dimensions of 42.5" by 50.5". The poster is printed in English in 1974, though dated for the original scheduled fight date of Tuesday, September 24. Due to an injury to Foreman in training before the fight, the actual fight was pushed back over a month and took place on October 30. The poster appears to be in NM condition and presents beautifully with bright yellow and green color and a striking blue sharpie signature of “Muhammad Ali” across his image. Very difficult to find one of these posters signed. Autograph pre-certified by PSA/DNA.

NOTE: Large dimensions of this piece may require excess shipping cost or freight. Local pick-up recommended.
